Daish: Good run is down to good character

Cambridge United v Ebbsfleet United
Liam Daish believes Ebbsfleet have learnt valuable lessons ahead of their trip to play Cambridge United on Saturday.
The Fleet boss has seen his side pick up seven points from their last three games in the Blue Square Premier.
After stretching their unbeaten run to three games with a goalless draw against Kettering, Daish believes his side have shown the character needed to recover from a poor run, which saw them suffer five straight defeats.
He said: "It was difficult but football can quickly turn on its head. We can learn from what happened during that run andwe have done.
"I think it was the worst run I’ve had since I’ve been here. It was difficult for everyone.
"We were a bit unlucky in some of the games but it just shows that winning is a habit and so is losing."
Ebbsfleet return to action with a trip to play fifth-placed Cambridge on Saturday and Daish is expecting a tough game.
"The season doesn’t depend on what happens at Cambridge," he said. "We’ll be going there to try and win the game."
Defender Paul McCarthy (back) is close to a return to full training but remains Ebbsfleet’s only injury doubt.
