GILLINGHAM face League 2 opponents for the second time in four days when Dagenham visit Priestfield tonight.
The Gills go into the Johnstone’s Paint southern area quarter-final tie with an abundance of attacking options as they look to bounce back from Saturday’s FA Cup exit.
Leading scorer Chris Dickson, who hit a hat-trick in the last round, is back in the side while newcomers Leroy Griffiths and Dennis Oli will also be included.
Manager Mark Stimson is confident that the newcomers can make a difference in what will be a difficult game.
Stimson said: “They’ve both got great enthusiasm, decent pace and I’ve given them an opportunity to play at a higher level and I’m confident they can produce.”
Stimson, who has won trophies in his last three seasons, sees this as another opportunity for success with the club just three games away from a Wembley final.
He said: “If you’ve got any spare cash and you’re not doing anything then please come and get behind the boys because I want a party atmosphere and the more people here the better. Hopefully, they’ll be here to see my first win as manager.
“I’m going to treat this game like a league match and I want to win it.”
Stimson is also set to include 15-year-old Luke Freeman in the squad who this week became the youngest ever player to appear in the FA Cup proper.
