Danny Spiller has twice gone close

Gillingham 0 Bristol City 0

GILLINGHAM have put in a decent first half performance but it remains goalless at the break at Priestfield.

Brian Wilson had a golden opportunity to put the visitors ahead in the 11th minute but he blazed over when in a superb position inside the Gills penalty area.

Gillingham went close themselves 20 minutes in when Danny Spiller got on the end of a good three-man move involving Felix Bastians and Guylain Ndumbu-Nsungu but shot too high.

Ben Chorley saw his header cleared off the line by City defender Bradley Orr with keeper Adriano Basso beaten, before Spiller again went close in the closing stages of the half.

Gillingham: Larrieu, Southall, Cox, Chorley, Jackman, Bentley, Crofts, Flynn, Bastians, Spiller, Ndumbu-Nsungu.
Subs Not Used: Johnson, Easton, Tonge, Collin, McDonald.
