Gate pair back to face Welshmen?

Newport County v Margate

DEFENDER Greg Oates and goalkeeper Peter Trego are set to return to the Margate squad for Saturday's Nationwide South trip to Newport County.

Margate will be making their longest journey of the season, looking to record a fourth straight Conference South win. Newport are fourth from bottom in the table.

Both Oates and Trego missed Tuesday's weather-hit John Ullman Kent Senior Cup quarter-final against Cray Wanderers which was abandoned two minutes into the second half because of dense fog, with Cray leading 3-0.

The tie has now been arranged for Tuesday March 1. Margate are the current holders, with Gravesend and Northfleet, Dover Athletic and Folkestone Invicta already through to this season's semi-finals.
