Gillingham's joy with Saturday's first league win of the season at Bradford dissolved into deep disappointment with Monday's shock home defeat by bottom club Burnley.

The visitors, who arrived at Priestfield on the back of three successive league defeats, stunned Gillingham with two goals in three first half minutes.

Gillingham conceded their first league goal of the season in the 27th minute when Ian Moore outwitted skipper Chris Hope and Barry Ashby before sliding the ball past goalkeeper Jason Brown.

Burnley defender Dean West compounded Gillingham's misery in the 30th minute with his team's second in the 30th minute following good work by Luke Chadwick.
