IWAN ROBERTS is recalled to the Gills attack as they welcome fellow strugglers Nottingham Forest to Priestfield today.

John Gorman takes temporary charge of the side following the mid-week resignation of Andy Hessenthaler and his side are in desperate need of three points.

Barry Ashby also makes a welcome return to the team following his absence from injury as he lines up alongside Chris Hope in defence.

Dean Marney is relegated to the bench as Nyron Nosworthy returns to his more familiar right-back slot as Gills look to combat the threat of Andy Reid.

Marlon King returns to Priestfield in good form, with other fellow Gills player Adam Nowland making the starting line-up after shaking off a niggling injury.

Both sides need a win to keep them in touch with safety, with Gills sitting two points behind Forest, and the Nottingham club two more off the comfort zone.

Gills: Brown, Nosworthy, Smith, Ashby, Henderson, Rose, Crofts, Hope, Roberts, Byfield, Spiller. Subs: Banks, Marney, Jarvis, T.Johnson, Sidibe.

Forest: Gerrard, Thompson, Robertson, Hjelde, Morgan, Nowland, Evans, Reid, Lester, Taylor, King. Subs: Johnson, Roche, Jess, Impey, Gardner.
