Accrington v Gillingham
Gillingham will be aiming to make it five games unbeaten tomorrow (Saturday) when they take on lowly Accrington Stanley.
The Gills take on a side struggling towards the bottom of League 2 and without a win in their last seven games but manager Mark Stimson won’t be taking their opponents lightly.
“The law of averages says they are going to win a game sooner rather than later and hopefully it’s not on Saturday,” said Stimson.
“We have to go there with the same determination we’ve showed recently and if we do that I’m sure we won’t get beat.
“One thing with Accrington at home is that they do have a go and if we’re not ready for that we’ll get found out and we don’t want to do that, as we want to extend our run to five games unbeaten, as we have two tough home games after that.
“Accrington are probably looking at two wins max and they’ll be safe and we just have to make sure they don’t do that against us.
“Like all games, especially this time of year its going to take hard work and we’ll have to roll our sleeves up like we did at Luton and if we can keep that unbeaten run it would be great.”
Gills forward Andy Barcham (knee) will be given until the last minute to prove his fitness ahead of the match, while Dennis Oli (illness) is back in training and available.
