JEPSON: "We’re out most nights at games and we try to improve what we’ve got"

GILLINGHAM manager Ronnie Jepson insists he is working tirelessly to improve his squad and is constantly on the lookout for fresh talent.

He also vowed to get the maximum out of the players already at Priestfield after a run of just two wins in eight matches.

He said: "We can improve in most areas. We don’t settle for second best.

"We’re out most nights at games and we try to improve what we’ve got. The more players you’ve got the better when it comes to injuries, suspensions and lack of form.

"Sometimes if you can’t get people in, then myself and my staff work extremely hard to try and get the best out of the players we’ve got."
