EXIT RUMOURS: John Hills

GILLINGHAM'S out-of-contract defender John Hills has spoken to Blackpool manager Colin Hendry about a return to the Seasiders.

The 27-year-old found himself out of favour during Stan Ternent's reign as manager, and was quick to indicate his intentions to leave Priestfield.

Blackpool boss Hendry spoke about his intentions to take the left-sided player back to the club, who sold him to Gills in June 2003.

Hendry said: "I have spoken to John and I would love him to come back to this football club.

"If it's possible from the club's point of view it will be done, if it's not possible for another reason then it is not possible. But we are trying."
