GILLINGHAM have offered star player Matt Jarvis a lucrative deal in a bid to keep hold of him.
Championship teams Stoke and Plymouth have made enquiries about Jarvis, but the Gills are determined to retain him and have handed the 20-year-old a "substantial" contract offer.
Gills chairman Paul Scally said: "The offer is the highest in the club’s history for a player of his age and stature."
