Luton v Gillingham
Gillingham duo Simeon Jackson and John Nutter are pushing for a starting berth ahead of Tuesday night's League 2 trip to Luton.
Both players made an immediate impact in Saturday's home win over Bournemouth after being left on the substitutes bench, and Gills boss Mark Stimson admitted they had done their cause no harm.
“They looked how you want players to look after you’ve left them out for the last couple of games,” said Stimson.
“Jackson looked bright and John showed good composure and put in some decent balls.”
Nicky Southall and Simon King suffered facial injuries, Curtis Weston was playing with a stomach bug and Andy Barcham tweaked his knee but all are expected to be fit for Luton. Gary Mulligan (groin) remains out.
Luton suffered a 30-point deduction at the start of the season and sit bottom of League 2.
“Luton are fighting to win their remaining games and for them to survive would be an absolutely fantastic achievement,” said Stimson.
“We need to approach these next games like cup finals. I said to the boys there are 14 cup finals and we won one on Saturday.
“Luton have some good young players on loan and some good senior players, that’s why they have a chance.”
