GILLINGHAM defender Brent Sancho is preparing to face England's star players at the World Cup on Thursday.

The Trinidad & Tobago international played an integral role in his country's goalless draw with Sweden in their opening game of the tournament on Saturday.

He was a vital part of a defence that managed to stifle players of the calibre of Zlatan Ibrahimovich, Henrik Larsson and Freddie Ljungberg.

He has now turned his attention to upsetting Sven-Goran Eriksson's side's hopes of qualifying for the second round.
