Gillingham manager Mark Stimson was happy enough with the point from what he described as a bruising encounter against fellow promotion hopefuls Rochdale.

Stimson’s side emerged with a point following the 1-1 draw but two of his centre-backs picked up injuries.

Garry Richards picked up a knee injury and his replacement Leigh Mills missed the last few minutes of the game with a face injury.
