DENNIS OLI loves to smile and after making his first start for the club on Sunday he was a happy man.

"This is amazing and I’m still in dream land," said Oli, who signed from Blue Square Premier side Grays last week.

"Jumping up two leagues is amazing. I just have to work really hard to keep my fitness up so I don’t look silly on the pitch.

"When I was named in the starting 11 nobody could take the smile off my face. I was happy and I thought I would go out and show everyone why I’m in the starting 11 and hopefully I did that."

Oli is delighted to have been given the chance at a league club and he’s determined to make sure he gives it his all with a manager who he admires.

Oli said: "I wouldn’t have just gone to any club. The gaffer loves to play football and I love to play football as well so it was a perfect move for me in the end.

"There’s a lot of good talent in the non-leagues but it’s hard to get out of the non-league. I’m more than grateful to get this opportunity and am willing to take my chance.

"We’ve got to keep up the work rate and enthusiasm and then we’ll get those points away from home.

"The boys gave their all against Yeovil and that’s all you can ask of them. We gave it our best but came up short."

"I’m a smiley guy and am always happy, life’s too short not to be happy. I’ll just keep smiling and working hard."
