CHARLTON defender Hermann Hreidarsson has been charged with violent conduct by the Football Association.

Hreidarsson was caught on camera appearing to elbow Fulham winger Luis Boa Morte during the second half of Charlton's 2-1 defeat at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

The 31-year-old centre-back has until 6pm tonight to respond to the charge, before his case is heard tomorrow (Thursday).

If he is found guilty he could be banned for three matches, ruling him out of Charlton's remaining games this season.
