Innovative racing car show at Brands

BRANDS Hatch chiefs will be hosting an innovative racing car show at their circuit near West Kingsdown on Saturday, December 4.
The event has been designed to let prospective motorsport competitors see exactly what various cars look like on track and even test them, as well as talk to championship organisers.
Unlike other pre-season motorsport events, Race Car Live will offer the unique opportunity for racing drivers to see demonstrations of the performance and characteristics of all the cars exhibiting and even "try before they buy", driving some of them in lapping sessions on the Brands Indy circuit, subject to advance booking with the teams and championships represented.
Brands Hatch circuit owners MotorSport Vision are inviting the organisers of UK car race championships to book the space they require from the 34 pit garages in which to display cars and championship information. Garage space will be available to championship organisers at a price of £865+VAT per unit. Exhibitors will have a minimum of six scheduled 15 minute sessions throughout the day for demonstrations and test drives.
Anyone may attend Race Car Live, though the event is primarily directed at those who are interested in competing in 2005.
MSV managing director Jonathan Palmer said: "We are lucky to have a fabulous range of diverse race championships in the UK and, with differing types of cars, performance and budget, there really is something for everyone.
"Until now, there has been no convenient opportunity for racers to actually see all the different cars on track, as well as meet the series organisers and to get a feel for just what might suit them. With test sessions available for seriously interested drivers, Race Car Live provides a unique opportunity to evaluate the options.
"At MotorSport Vision, we are also committed to broadening the appeal of all forms of motor racing and I believe Race Car Live can help bring more people into the sport by showing exactly what can be raced and how easy it is to start.
Race Car Live will be much more focussed on race competitors than other motorsport shows, ranging from amateur club drivers to national and international licence holders."
Race Car Live will be open to the public at a charge of £10 per adult. Children under 16 go free if accompanied by an adult.
Entrance is free of charge to MSA competition licence holders, subject to registration either in advance or on the day.
Championships and associated parties interested in exhibiting at Race Car Live should contact Mick Maggio at mick.maggio@bedford-autodrome.com
