Margate bounced back after a three-match winless run on Saturday with a 2-0 Isthmian Premier home success over Bognor Regis.

Two first-half goals, one apiece from midfielder Ade Cole and new signing Ashley Nzala, who has signed on dual-registration from National League South outfit Dulwich Hamlet, were enough for Andy Drury’s men. Margate are now 15th in the table.

Herne Bay are second-bottom - now winless in four - after they lost 3-2 to basement boys Corinthian-Casuals despite Maidstone loanee Tushaun Tyreece-Walters and substitute Rory Smith finding the net while the hosts were reduced to 10 men in the latter stages. It proved Ben Smith's last match in charge, with the Bay boss standing down after the defeat.

In their first league match without Neil Cugley as manager, 17th-placed Folkestone were beaten 3-0 at Haringey.

There was plenty of movement at the foot of Isthmian South East, with the three bottom teams all winning.

Faversham earned their first league win under manager Simon Austin, beating East Grinstead 3-1 at Salters Lane. Strikes by debutants Helge Orome and Harrison Carnegie, sandwiched a first-half effort from captain and long-serving defender Matt Bourne on his 468th appearance for the club.

That result means Corinthian are now bottom despite their 3-2 home success over VCD. With all five goals coming before half-time, the hosts found the target twice through Jamie Billings while Oscar Housego struck too. Soul Kader and David Ozobia scored in a losing cause for the visitors.

Hat-trick hero Warren Mfula led Sheppey to a 3-2 victory at Littlehampton.

At the top, Ramsgate are two points clear having claimed a hard-fought 1-0 victory at Burgess Hill, midfielder TJ Jadama with the game’s only goal.

Returning midfielder Jarred Trespaderne scored for second-placed Ashford but they drew 1-1 at home to Whitehawk while Chatham’s trip to Beckenham fell victim to the weather.

In a 2pm kick-off, Hythe drew 1-1 with Cray Valley. Daniel Bennett replied for the visitors at Reachfields after striker Johan Caney-Bryan had put the Cannons in front.

Sittingbourne also drew at Chichester by the same margin after late drama.

Defender Harrison Pont earned the Brickies a share of the spoils, with Lloyd Rowlatt having put Chichester in front in the 80th minute.

Player-of-the-match Freddie Parker bagged two, including a penalty, as Sevenoaks beat Lancing 3-0. Fumnaya Shomotun rounded off their win late on.
