JEPSON: "My lads deserved something out of that game, make no bones about that"

Gillingham 0 Doncaster Rovers 2

"GUTTED for the lads" was Ronnie Jepson’s response after his side’s latest setback on Saturday.

Jepson saw his Gills team concede two late goals against Doncaster as hopes of promotion took another step backwards.

Defeat put Gillingham just six points off the relegation places but Jepson was full of praise for his players.

He said: "I’m the first to knock my players if I’m not happy. But they gave 100 per cent to the cause and it just wasn’t our day.

"My lads deserved something out of that game, make no bones about that. We deserved a point at least."
