RONNIE JEPSON is eagerly anticipating Saturday's visit of Charlton as the Gills step up their pre-season campaign.

Having snapped up the likes of Nicky Weaver, Svetoslav Todorov and Luke Varney, the Addicks are favourites for an immediate return to the Premiership.

Jepson said: "They've got some quality players and it's going to be a good occasion.

"We'll try a few different things, with different personnel, different systems. It's all about making sure we peak next month."
