GILLINGHAM manager Ronnie Jepson has stated the club is doing everything possible to raise funds to bolster his small squad.
Jepson said in an ideal world he would have more players to choose from to arrest a run of three consecutive defeats, but added that his lack of players could not be used as an excuse.
He said: "Everybody is working hard behind the scenes to raise some funds, including the chairman.
"We are going to try to use the loan system again, but I would like to get players in for the long term.
"But there’s no use moaning about it. We’ve got to stick together and have a proper go. We have still produced some good perfomances this season."
