Jones makes Gills season ticket plea

Gills chief executive Mark Jones

Gillingham’s chief executive says last night’s draw with an Ipswich Town XI shows they are on track on the field and is urging fans to get their season tickets soon to watch their progress.

Mark Jones wants to get as many supporters as possible signed up before the special offer, including a reduced price and free tickets if the Gills lose at home, ends next Thursday.

He admits some may have been put off by disappointing defeats to Blue Square Premier outfits Stevenage Borough and Grays Athletic but hopes they will have been encouraged by an improved display against the Tractor Boys.
