TRINIDAD & Tobago World Cup keeper Kelvin Jack turned down several bigger-named clubs for the chance to play for Ronnie Jepson’s new-look Gillingham side.

Jack became Gills’ seventh summer signing and the 30-year-old keeper is delighted to be on board.

He said: "There were many clubs interested in me but a concrete offer from Gillingham came up and with their ambition as well, I couldn’t say no.

"I could have gone to bigger clubs, but I know the club are trying to get back into the Championship after getting relegated two seasons ago."
