Anthony di Bernardo was a busy man between the sticks for Tonbridge Angels but a great performance ensured they were able to see off Hendon, winning 3-1.

Big defender Rickie Hayles was a strong presence at the back for Welling in their Trophy win over Bromley.

Gillingham were short of defenders for their trip to Oldham and called upon Aussie Chris Herd, who came in for his first appearance in two months, following an injury. One of few to earn praise by new boss Ady Pennock.

Central defender Mitchell Nelson was on the scoresheet for Tonbridge Angels in their weekend win.

Danny Waldren was key in helping Welling pull off a shock in the FA Trophy, with a win over National League Bromley. They equalised through Waldren, with his cross creeping in past the keeper.

Sam Adams netted twice for Hythe, and created numerous chances, in their 6-1 thrashing of nine-man Walton Casuals.

Jordan Wright was a constant threat for Folkestone, attacking from wide, but it wasn’t his team’s day on Saturday, losing 1-0 to Met Police.

Lee Noble also wins a place in the team for his performance playing right midfield for Dartford. His set-pieces and corners were always a threat in the 1-0 defeat to Chelmsford.

It was a disappointing day for the Gills, who lost at Oldham, but at least young winger Elliott List gave his best, attacking with pace whenever he got chance and earning his side some good set-piece opportunities.

Welling striker Adam Coombes enhanced his reputation even further, with a stunning 30-yard free-kick on Saturday that took the Wings through to the last 16 of the FA Trophy.

On a disappointing day for most of Kent’s leading sides, Kenny Pogue was a definite highlight, coming off the bench with two of the goals in Hythe’s impressive win.
