Matt's amazing bowling feat

THIRTEEN-YEAR-OLD Matt Bentall, from Larkfield, near Maidstone, took an incredible six wickets for no runs in just 11 balls playing for Ightham against Longfield Hill.

He took a hat-trick with his first three balls and in his second over narrowly missed another, dismissing three Longfield batsmen in four balls. Of his six wickets, four were bowled, one stumped and one caught.

Matt, who bowls medium pace, is a pupil at Maidstone Grammar School and his father, Jeremy, also plays for Ightham. Longfield Hill, chasing a target of 219, were dismissed for 57.
