Ramsgate boosted their play-off hopes in Ryman League, Division 1 South after winning the east Kent derby at Hythe.

Home side Hythe had led 2-1 at one stage but ended up losing the entertaining match 3-2.

Ian Pulman put Ramgsate ahead before their former player Shaun Welford levelled the match.

Hythe took the lead, when Olly Schulz put a header into his own net, but the Rams fought back in the second half.

Pulman made it 2-2 shortly after the restart and he then provided the assist for James Everitt to hit the winner.

Whitstable and Faversham played out a goalless draw at The Belmont.

Luke Harvey had a couple of chances in the second half for Faversham and Whitstable finished strongly but neither side could break the deadlock.

At Woodstock Park, Sittingbourne drew 1-1 at Corinthian Casuals thanks to a Hicham Akhazzan equaliser.

In the Premier Division, Margate suffered a 4-2 home defeat to Dulwich Hamlet, after throwing away a two-goal lead.

Goals from Anthony Riviere and John Beales had put the hosts 2-0 up at the break.

Dulwich pulled a goal back on 50 minutes and were further boosted after James Foukes was sent off for Margate.

A trio of goals followed as title-hopefuls Dulwich took the points.

Maidstone United missed the chance to go top, after suffering a surprise 4-1 defeat at Thamesmead Town.

Cray Wanderers lost 2-1 at home to Bognor Regis Town. In Ryman League, Division 1 North,

Chatham Town enjoyed a 3-1 win at Brentwood, in a game that was very nearly called off because of a water-logged pitch.

Lee Hales - with a stunning 20-yard strike - and Drew Crush scored goals to put Chatham ahead. Brentwood pulled one back late on but Alfie May struck to ensure the points were heading back to Kent.

Erith & Belvedere lost 2-0 at home to Tilbury, in a match that didn’t kick off until 8.35, due to traffic problems.

VCD drew 2-2 with Cheshunt. Michael Power and Nick Reeves scored the goals for VCD.
