TWO victories in two away matches this weekend will see Invicta Dynamos progress to the play-off final.

Mos face Cardiff on Saturday, followed with a trip to Streatham Redskins on Sunday. Should Kev Parrish's team pull off wins in both games, they are assured of a place in the final, where they would most likely face Northern play-off favourites Sheffield.

Mos will go into the games bouyed by the 11-2 thrashing of Oxford City Stars at the weekend.

Just days before their Canadian leading scorer Mike Allaby had walked out on the club, but they brushed off that disappointment to produce a devastating performance and remain top of the play-off table.

Allaby - who has notched up 121 points this season - claimed he was suffering from a head injury in the week, but after failing to provide medical evidence he disappeared and is believed to have returned to Canada.

Parrish recognised the contribution Allaby made to the team, but admitted the player had his faults.

He said: "His goal scoring record speaks for itself, but he was more worried about his name on the back of his shirt rather than the emblem on the front.

"He was worrying about the goals that he was getting rather than whether the team were winning or losing and that was starting to show.

"I think everyone is taking the positives out of it and nobody is worried, especially with other players getting the goals."

The Mos responded to the loss in stunning fashion, as they destroyed Oxford for the second time in three weeks.

Teenage keeper Jonathon Silvester was making his senior debut, but was beaten inside seven seconds, before going on to make a solid performance.

The Dynamos hit back to take the first period 2-1, before a hat-trick in the second from Andy Smith put Mos 6-1 up. A 5-1 third period win wrapped up the Mos third win from three play-off games, leaving Parrish in awe of his players.

He said: "Their keeper was making saves that I’ve never seen made before as we were all over them. But we dug deep and kept skating hard and got a great result.

"The team just surprise me week in, week out. Even at 11-2 the guys were still wanting to go out an score more goals."
