FORMER Invicta Dynamo Mike Kindred has signed for the Invicta Mustangs and will make his debut against Bracknell on Sunday.
The Dynamos, the sport's premier side, wanted the British forward to play for them this season, but he turned down a contract because of work commitments.
Now the lure of the game seems to have won him back and he'll be pulling back on his skates to compete in the English National League (South).
His signing could upset some Dynamos fans who want to see Kindred back playing for them, especially at a time where the team is short on experienced players.
But Ken Drake, Mustangs manager, said: “He signed last night and I'm taking his registration form to the club secretary today for processing.
“We approached him months ago and he's agreed to help us out because we have some injuries and important games coming up.”
Kindred will meet up with former team-mate Kevin Parrish, who also "retired" from the Dynamos, the reigning English National Premier League champions, last year.
Parrish iced for the Mustangs for the first time last weekend away at Peterborough where they whipped the home side 9-4, but he suffered a bruised shoulder and Matt Billing was left with a broken ankle following two big checks from behind by Peterborough's Ross Macintosh.
