WEST INDIES' all-rounder Dwayne Bravo appeared ultra cool yet raring to go after meeting up with his new Kent team-mates.
The 22-year-old from Trinidad, wearing shirt, sweater and training top despite the heatwave, at least removed his sunglasses to conduct his first interview since arriving in England as Kent’s replacement for Andrew Hall.
Bravo explained how he first heard of Kent’s interest in bringing him to St Lawrenece.
He said: "It was during the first Test match against India, we were over in Antigua when one of the Kent officials sent a text to Chris Gale’s mobile phone and said the county were interested in signing me.
"I spoke to Brian Lara about it, he gives me good advice and he felt it would be a good move for me."
Having signed a contract for the remainder of the summer, Bravo is raring to go.
He added: "I’m here to learn as much as possible and know my game will improve for being here.
"I believe that in these conditions I will do well with bat and ball, so let’s see what happens in the next two months.
"Coming to play county cricket over here is something I’ve always wanted to do and now I’ve got the opportunity I’m going to grab it with both hands."
