STAR MAN: Ian Cox

Nottingham Forest 2 Gillingham 2

JASON BROWN: Should have cut out the cross for the first goal but could do nothing about the winner.
5

NYRON NOSWORTHY: Had the toughest of jobs keeping the excellent Kris Commons from getting forward and stuck to his task well.
6

BARRY ASHBY: As always his positional sense was spot on (replaced by Darren Byfield, 85).

IAN COX: Showed great energy getting forward as much as possible, saved his side with some super blocks and headers.
8

JAY MCEVELEY: Put in a couple of good crosses that deserved a better end product. Stopped attacks down his wing pretty efficiently.
6

NICKY SOUTHALL: Created more than most but did not carve out any decent chances for himself.
6

PAUL SMITH: Solid performance from the skipper but he did not get forward enough.
6

MIKE FLYNN: Looked lively and supported Sidibe well whenever Gillingham strode forward (replaced by Darius Henderson, 55).
6

ANDREW CROFTS: An all-action first half as he got into several great positions and was denied by a super block from the goalkeeper so was a big surprise when he was replaced at half time (replaced by Matt Jarvis, 45).
7

mpu2

JONATHAN DOUGLAS: Again did not reach the high standards he set himself when he first arrived on loan.
5

MAMADY SIDIBE: Great goal and such a shame that it did not prove to be Gills' saviour as he ran his heart out for the team.
