Patterson injury adds to Gillingham's woes

DEFENDER Mark Patterson has joined Gillingham's growing list of long-term casualties after undergoing a scan on his troublesome right knee last week.
Although the scan revealed slight cartilage damage and deep bruising inside the knee, there is no need for surgery.
But Patterson has been ordered not to do any running for the next two weeks and not to put any strain on it.
