WELLING manager Adrian Pennock has been given an increased budget from the start of last season.
The Wings have not yet been able to bring in any new faces during the close season and have missed out on several top targets due to other clubs offering more cash.
But general manager Graham Hobbins insisted: "We’ve increased our budget from the start of last season and it’s close to the figure that Adrian wanted when we spoke in April.
"But the days of players or managers wanting to be at a club have gone – there are players that lack ambition now and just want to take as much money from the game as they can."
