Keeper Simon Royce is set to become the seventh new face this summer

GILLINGHAM manager Ronnie Jepson insists his summer shopping spree is far from complete.

Jepson has already added six new faces to his squad, with keeper Simon Royce set to become number seven, but he knows another few signings are needed.

On Saturday all of Jepson's summer recruits were handed a starting role, during a comfortable 4-1 win over Dover, as the Gills boss continues to shape his side for the season opener on August 11.

He said: "Building up the fitness is the most important thing at this stage, as well as adding one or two new faces to the squad.

"The new lads that came in did okay. The players aren't at their sharpest because we've been doing a lot of leg work and over the next couple of weeks we'll sharpen up.

"Obviously I need players in and I'm looking for one or two more strikers and a couple of midfielders and maybe another centre half."
