Reed to refresh squad during transfer window

UP TO six players could be made available as Charlton prepare to overhaul their squad in the January transfer window.
Reputations will count for nothing as the club seeks solutions to the malaise which has cast Charlton as favourites for relegation.
Saturday’s unacceptable 5-1 defeat at Tottenham served to strengthen the club’s resolve to right the many wrongs of the past five months.
Charlton boss Les Reed confirmed after an 11th Premierhip defeat that plans were in place to improve the squad.
He said: “Once the January transfer window opens we need to bring greater flexibility and greater balance to the squad. I’m confident the board will assist.”
Reed is adamant he will be given time to lead the club to safety and is close to agreeing a contract with club plc chairman Richard Murray.
Charlton take on Liverpool at The Valley on Saturday with a 12.45pm kick-off.
