Road race offers financial incentive

THE Bethersden Five Mile Road race, which raises money for Bethersden School projects, will be held on Saturday, September 15.
The race was put in doubt when changes in registration and policing hit its viability but the 11th race will go ahead, starting at 2pm.
It is popular because of its flat, fast rural course. Entry is £5 affiliated and £6 non-affiliated runners with a 250 limit.
Entry on the day is £7 but they will not be eligable for any prizes.
There is a £50 bonus for any who breaks the men's or women's course record. For more details contact race secretary Sarah Davies on 01233 641667.
