GILLINGHAM chairman Paul Scally insists he doesn’t want to cash in on Matt Jarvis and is hoping the player stays put.
However, Mr Scally is remaining realistic and admits offers will need to be looked at but believes the player would benefit by staying at the club longer.
Newcastle have become the latest club to be linked with the winger who is out of contract in six months.
He said: "We might have to consider an offer if it came in but we’re not hanging on selling him. It will do his career better if he stays with the club for a year or two."
