Tall order for Jepson's men at Swindon

IAN COX: one of the players back after suspension

Swindon v Gillingham

RONNIE JEPSON is preparing his players for a real battle tonight when Gillingham travel to Swindon who have half a dozen six footers in their side.

The Gills make the trip to the County Ground hoping to continue their improving recent away form, which has seen them collect four points from their last two outings.

Jepson, however, knows his players will need to recover quickly from Saturday’s efforts to continue that form, and is convinced they’ll be more than ready for the match.

He said: “The players are well prepared and we train them well. We give them the rest at the right times so they’ll be well prepared when we go to Swindon.

“Like Tranmere they’re another team with six or seven six footers in the team. I thought we coped admirably (against Tranmere) and it will be the same again on tonight.

“We’ll put our tin hats on. It’ll be direct and we know we’ll be in for a battle.”

Gillingham will be boosted by the return of Ian Cox, Michael Flynn and Alan Pouton who had been sidelined through suspension.
