Crossing our fingers and wearing lucky pants isn’t our style. We’re do-ers, not hopers.
Some people could sit back and think, ‘oh, we’ll be all right, this that and the other will happen for us’ but that’s not the way forward.
Einstein once said that the first sign of insanity is doing the same thing every day and expecting different results. You need to look at what you can do differently and that’s what we have been doing.
We have been looking at everything and making sure every person at the club is asking “can it be done differently?”
It is always an ongoing process but what you have to do is take action and not cross your fingers and think that if you put on your lucky socks you’ll get results.
What you need to do is grab it by the scruff of the neck, lead from the front, say this is what we are going to do and this is how we are going to do it.
We were as disappointed as anyone with the result on Saturday against Bradford. But looking back at the DVD in detail, we created better chances than I first thought.
One of the disappointing things is knowing how well we performed all week in training.
We are in this profession to win and it is frustrating when you aren’t picking up points but our job is to keep preparing and organising and working towards giving ourselves the best chance of picking up points in every game. That’s what we’re doing.
