Results may not be going our way at the moment but you won’t see us sulking.

Keeping the atmosphere upbeat is important, especially when you are working together as a group.

The football staff are always upbeat and we keep smiling. Yes, we do organise and we do demand but we do it as much as we can with a smile on our faces because that’s the type of environment we are trying to create.

We know we are close to turning those performances into wins and all of the players went to Nando’s on Tuesday for a bite to eat to celebrate Stuart Nelson’s birthday.

They are still positive and confident and it shows how together they are. It is easy to make up an excuse but to a man they all went. It is a good atmosphere here and the lads have been fully committed since we walked in on day one.

We lost last week at Coventry but the players showed once again their adaptability, as we changed formation.

It was pleasing to see how they stuck to the game plan even after an early setback.

We had pace in our team with Weston, Allen and McDonald and had Keds, who will get hold of it and work the channels if he has to. We knew we had offensive weapons to carry the game forward when the time was right.

We had our chances and the game plan worked but unfortunately we didn’t get the result.
