Winger Myles Weston believes he has done enough to earn a new deal – whether at Gillingham or elsewhere.
The 26-year-old is one of a number of players waiting to hear if they will be offered a new contract at Priestfield.
Weston has been with the Gills for two years and has made 82 appearances in that time, scoring 10 goals.
He said: “I have played this level for four years during my career and I know I can play League 1 and League 2.
“We will see what happens. I am not stressing. Years before I would have been stressing but I have got faith that I am good enough to play in this league.
“I think I have had an alright season. The ending has been the best bit for me because I have started so many games. That’s important for me and I have finished so strong.
“At the beginning of the season and the middle I was in and out but I started eight in a row towards the end of the season and I am happy with that. I am happy to get consistency, and I have just got better the more I have played."
He added: “I have enjoyed it here, especially winning the league in my first season. I had never won a league before and that was a great thrill to experience that.”
