KENT'S Melissa Bubb won a silver medal in the national archery championships for the disabled at Maidenhead.
The 23-year-old, from Clifford Gardens, Walmer, near Deal, finished second in the B2 women’s visually impaired category at the weekend with a score of 208 points from her six dozen arrows.
The gold medal went to Joan Tolman, from Newcastle, who scored a total of 264 points.
The previous weekend Bubb, who competes for the Thanet and District Sports Association for the Disabled, won the gold medal in the visually impaired category at the Kent Archery Association Disability tournament at Ashford.
