CHATHAM boxer Johhny Armour will find out within the next few days whether he will be able to fight again before Christmas.
The WBU Bantamweight champion broke his hand in the tenth round of his epic third clash with Francis Ampofo and is to visit Medway Maritime Hospital to discover the extent of the injury.
Armour will undergo an X-Ray on his injured left hand and then he and his manager Terry Toole will decide his next move.
Armour said: “It very much depends on what the doctors say as to whether I fight again this year. If the doctors says I can start punching and using it again then we'll start looking for an opponent and more importantly a venue.”
The champion is eager to have a fight near to his home town but he won't be able to start looking for a suitable venue for what would be a memorable night for Medway boxing.
