With the Ryman League Premier Division season just over a week away, Margate boss Barry Ashby this week confirmed two more new signings to his squad.

Striker Michael Power and midfielder Danny Stubbs join the Hartsdown Park squad, as Ashby continues to ring the changes ahead of the opening day trip to Carshalton.

Power, who started his career at Thamesmead, has had spells at three other Kent clubs – Cray Wanderers, Bromley and Tonbridge Angels – and also had a pre-season run-out with Conference South side Welling, before being released by Andy Ford.

He has scored twice in two friendlies against Erith & Belvedere and Chatham. Stubbs impressed in the warm-up game at Whitstable, where he spent a spell on loan last season. He scored in the 1-1 draw there last month.
