Sprint phenom Dina Asher-Smith became the fastest under-20 in Europe this season with a blistering new personal best to win the 200m at the Loughborough International Athletics match on Sunday.
Representing GB Juniors, the 17-year-old Blackheath & Bromley AC prospect, from Orpington, smashed her outdoor PB of 23.49 set last September with a superb 23.14secs to beat Loughborough's Emily Diamond into second by 0.16 of a second.
Asher-Smith's time was well inside the B standard for this August's World Championships in Moscow and was the third fastest by a British woman this year.
Running on her 16th birthday, middle-distance starlet Bobby Clay made an impressive debut for GB Juniors, finishing 6th in the 1,500m in a new PB of 4.18.33, almost four seconds better than the PB she set just four days earlier at the British Milers Club meeting at Watford.
Invicta East Kent AC star Clay, from Wingham, finished less than nine seconds behind London 2012 Olympic semi-finalist and 3,000m steeplechase specialist Elish McColgan, who is more than six years her senior.
New Romney's Lisa Dobriskey made a winning start to her season with victory in the 3,000m.
Competing as a guest, the 29-year-old former Commonwealth Champion and World Championship 1,500m silver medallist crossed the line in 9.03.42, three seconds ahead of Loughborough Student Laura Whittle.
It was the Ashford AC ace's fastest time over the distance in five years.
There was however more frustration for Jack Green, who pulled up in the 400m hurdles for the second time in nine days.
Green's GB rivals Rhys Williams and Rick Yates led the way in first and second but his withdrawal means 21-year-old Green has yet to finish a race since crashing out of the Olympic semi-final last August.
