Bath City 1 Bromley 3
Two Warren McBean goals helped Bromley to a comfortable win on the road at Bath City in Blue Square South on Saturday.
The Lillywhites got off to the perfect start when they went ahead after just two minutes. A long throw by Luke I'Anson was partially cleared, but debutant Ryan Dolby chipped in back in and the ball fell to McBean to volley home.
McBean could have had a second before the break but he shot wide when clean through and also struck a post from close range.
But Bromley did go in at half-time with a two-goal advantage after a 36th-minute move started by keeper Gareth Williams ended with I'Anson showing good composure to lift the ball over the advancing keeper Paul Evans.
The points were sealed on 68 minutes when Nic McDonnell's angled header from Ryan Hall's cross came back off the underside of the bar and fell nicely for McBean to bundle in from on the line.
Bath - who have won just once at home all season - got their consolation a minute from time when Dave Gilroy gave a quick exchange of passes before slotting past Williams.
