FA Cup hero Andy Barcham has signed a permanent deal with Gillingham until the end of the season.
Barcham had been on loan at Priestfield from Tottenham for three months but that deal ran out following the defeat at Dagenham on Boxing Day.
The 22-year-old had been expected to tie up a second loan deal until the end of the current campaign once the January transfer window opened.
But the Gills have pulled off a coup by bagging Barcham on a permanent deal, according to the club's website. It means they can offer him terms again before the end of the season, knowing they will be entitled to a fee should he snub them as he is under the age of 24.
