SHEFFIELD United manager Neil Warnock has confirmed latest signing Tommy Johnson has been drafted in "primarily as a coach".

The 34-year-old former Derby, Aston Villa and Celtic striker has arrived on a free transfer from Gillingham.

Warnock said: "We've signed Tommy until the end of the season to help out with coaching the forwards.

"I wanted a new face on the training ground to freshen things up a bit and he's got all the experience you need."
