ANDY SMITH will not play again for Invicta Dynamos this season, coach Kevin Parrish has confirmed.

Parrish said the forward told him that he was unable to continue due to work commitments.

The popular Smith had played in the National League (South) opener against Swindon but was absent for the next game at Haringey.

Parrish said: "He will be a great loss but I’ve still got a squad of 20 players and they’ve been looking good in training."

The Dynamos face a tough double header this weekend against teams with 100 per cent records. Saturday is an away fixture against Milton Keynes Thunder, while Sunday sees the Mos host Peterborough Islanders.

Parrish said: "Milton Keynes have improved their squad, and this is going to be a tough, tough game.

"Peterborough started to improve last year. They’ve lost their player-coach to the English Premier League (EPL) but their new coach is very good so it will be tough again."

Netminder Joe Dollin has joined from EPL side Swindon Wildcats as a replacement for James Tanner, who has switched to Streatham after a move to Quebec fell through.
