ST Mary's (Chatham) boxer Ricky Rose has confirmed his position as the UK's No 1 in the Under-45kg, Class B category (Jason Kayley writes)

Rose took his place in the England Four Nations squad to face the other home nations and came out on top.

He beat his Scottish opponent 8-3 and then beat his Irish opponent 16-14 to be crowned the UK's top fighter in his class.

After his victory he received the praise of Johnny Armour, Chatham's WBU bantamweight champion.
