Gillingham crashed to a third straight league defeat as they were routed at Bradford on Friday.
On a depressing night for the team and their supporters, Gillingham had to wait until stoppage time to muster a first shot when Marlon King scored a consolation after Bradford had run riot.
Bradford took a 12th minute through David Wetherall before taking total control in the second half.
Andy Tod made it 2-0 in the 57th and Eoin Jess increased the lead three minutes later.
Substitute Robbie Blake made it 4-0 in the 81st before the impressive Carbone made it five in the 84th.
