MEDWAY'S Tom Dallas, a member of Chatham-based St Mary's club, capped a superb season when he took the Junior ABA Under-91kg Class title at the finals day in Bridlington.

The 18-year-old fighter used his brain as well as his brawn to comprehensively beat Warren Baister (Marley Potts) courtesy of a second round stoppage.

Trainer Andy Kidd Andy told the Medway Messenger that Dallas had carried out his instructions to the letter and deserved his moment of glory.

He said: “He boxed lovely. In the five months he’s been with us he’s come on no end.

"In the past, he would try and just go in for a tear-up but he took his time and did what he was told and boxed superbly."
